Stringed Instrument Rentals

We are now offering violins, violas, cellos, basses and fractional instruments for rent!  Rental instruments are an affordable option for students or visiting professional musicians. Our rental fleet includes high quality instruments which are vetted and set up by experienced musicians.  Rental outfits include instrument, bow, case, rosin and polishing cloth. Shoulder rests are not included, and are available for purchase.

Rental rates for 2025:

Fractional Instruments:
1/10 - 3/4 Violin: $25 / mo 
12" - 14" Viola: $30 / mo 
1/16 - 3/4 Cello: $45 / mo 
1/8 - 5/8 Bass: $75 / mo 

Full Sized Instruments:
4/4 Violin: $60 / mo
15"+ Viola: $60 / mo
4/4 Cello: $75 / mo
3/4 Bass: $100 / mo

At time of rental, we will collect a deposit of twice the monthly fee. This deposit is refundable upon the return (in good condition) of the instrument, case, bow & rosin.

100% of rental payments for the first 12 months (plus the deposit, if desired) can be applied to the purchase of a new non-consignment instrument, bow, and case.  Purchase credit expires 90 days from last rental payment.

Premium Rentals

Professional-quality premium instruments are available for short-term (weekly) rental only.  A deposit of 2x weekly rental fee will be collected upfront, refundable upon return of the instrument, bow, case and rosin.

Premium Rental rates for 2025:

Premium Violin: $100 / week
Premium Viola: $125 / week
Premium Cello: $150 / week
Premium Bass: $160 / week
